While this board has a lower max weight limit (132lbs) than some other electric minis, it has a 500 watt motor – which is twice the power of most of the other mini skateboards currently on the market.
What makes the Maxfind board stand out from others is that all of the pieces are individually replaceable – if part of the skateboard fails 0 the battery, the charging circuit, or the motor, they can all be replaced without having to scrap the whole board.
Batteries in the board are provided by Samsung, and Maxfind says their electric skateboard is approved for airline travel (CE FCC ROHS MSDS UN38.3 certificates).
The MAX C earns spot as our top student choice because:
- it has regenerative braking and uses a Samsung Lithium Ion battery
- the above average motor power that allows it to go up hills as steep as 15% grade
- the 8 mile range that is slightly above average
- it only weighs 8.1 lbs
If you are a larger rider, please note that the lower weight limit will rule you out, that’s why we labelled it the “Top Student Choice”
