The Ballistix Sport RAM is rated at a slightly faster clock speed than the Kingston RAM, which isn’t necessary for our Ether mining rig build. However, this RAM built by Micron comes in a few dollars cheaper than the Kingston which puts it on our radar. Kingston is well known for it’s computer components, and for good reason! The cheapest option in their HyperX FURY line is this 4GB single DIMM option. It’s more expensive than some of the other options, so keep that in mind. It will take your mining build longer to pay itself off, but RAM can easily be moved to a new computer in the future. A step up from the Celeron processor, but with a slightly slower clock speed than the i3 Core processor (3.3 GHz instead of 3.8GHz), the Pentium G4400 processor is the one I’m going with for my mining rig build. The SuperNOVA line from EVGA has been receiving amazing reviews, and is a top choice among people building Ethereum mining rigs. This Corsair PSU costs a little more than the Gold certified ones, but since this is Platinum rated, that means it’s more efficient and uses less power. You’ll pay a little bit more, so it might not be worth it for a mining rig as it’s basically impossible to figure out how much more efficient this unit would be, and how much you’d save in power costs over a Gold certified.
